Kiva Informational Session and Showcase of Current Kiva Borrowers Seeking Support
About this Event
Kiva, a pioneering crowdfunding platform started in 2005, enables individuals who do not have access to traditional funding, to start, sustain or grow a small business. This provides the individuals the chance to create economic opportunities for themselves. The platform provides a base for family, friends and community supporters to invest as little as $25.00 to support a small business. A small contribution can create a ripple effect that can shape the future for a family or an entire community. In lifting one, you can lift many, one small business at a time.
Join Kiva Capital Access Manager Ellen Harvey for an informational session to learn more about the steps to become a borrower with Kiva. Stay to see a showcase of borrowers currently fundraising with Kiva and learn how you can offer your support.

Voice of Main Street: How will tariffs and cuts to Medicaid impact your small business?
Congress is debating major policies that could directly impact your bottom line. These decisions are being made right now, and small business voices need to be part of the conversation.
Take our short survey to share how these issues affect your business. Your feedback helps us advocate for policies that support entrepreneurs like you—not just big corporations..

New study: Medicaid is a critical insurer for small business
Small Business Majority recently partnered with the Georgetown University Center for Children and Families to release new data showing that one-third of all people enrolled in Medicaid nationwide are connected to small businesses—whether as small business owners, employees, or their children and other family members. This essential research deepens our understanding of how cuts to Medicaid could impact the small business ecosystem.

Advocating for America's
Small Businesses
At Small Business Majority, we develop and support policies that benefit the entire small business ecosystem—ranging from boosting access to responsible capital, ensuring affordable access to quality healthcare and other essential benefits, and promoting fair competition.
We regularly engage with policymakers at the local, state and federal level to ensure the small business perspective is front and center as they consider legislation and regulatory changes that would impact Main Street.
